| Dil To Pagal Hai 1997 Rahul and Nisha are performers in dance-oriented musical plays that are presented in Mumbai by a dance ensemble. Outside of their friendship, Nisha harbours feelings for Rahul that go deeper than friendship. Rahul declares that he wants to be the director of the upcoming musical Maya. The titular character, "Maya," who Rahul portrays as a girl who believes in genuine love and is waiting for her prince charming, who she feels would undoubtedly show up and take her away, raises questions in the minds of the troupe members, particularly Nisha. The part of Maya is given to Nisha. The group is pleased to have Pooja as a new member. Pooja is a talented, classically trained dancer who loves to dance. After becoming an orphan at a young age, Pooja was nurtured by her parents' close friends. Rahul and Pooja frequently run into one other and have a series of near-misses.
Every one of these incidents is identified by a background melody that speaks to Pooja. Ajay, the son of Pooja's foster parents and her childhood closest friend who has been working in London, shortly takes her to Germany. Ajay pops the question to Pooja right before he takes off to return to London. In a bind, Pooja eventually decides to accept his proposal of marriage. Ajay shows up at the rehearsal hall a few days before the play's opening to surprise Pooja. He introduces himself as her fiancé to everyone.
Rahul tries not to reveal how devastated he is. After returning from London, Nisha observes Rahul's anguish and shares how she was as saddened when he showed her no love in return. Rahul, who usually gives plays a cheerful ending, alters
the play's conclusion to reflect his sadness. As Rahul and Pooja's characters prepare to split up on stage on the opening night of the show, Ajay plays a taped message Pooja was intending to send him prior to his proposal, on which she expressed her feelings for Rahul. The movie was widely praised by critics.[2][3] Multiple awards have been given to Dil To Pagal Hai. The movie took home three prizes at the 45th National Film Awards, including Best Popular Film. It also won eight major categories at the 43rd Filmfare categories, including Best Film, Best Actor (Khan), Best Actress (Dixit), and Best Supporting Actress (Kapoor).
