Suzume 2022 Watch Online 1080p

The 2022 Japanese animated coming-of-age fantasy adventure film Suzume (Japanese: すずめの戸締まり, Hepburn: Suzume no Tojimari, lit. 'Suzume's Locking Up') is written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. The movie centres on 17-year-old Suzume Iwato, a high school student, and Souta Munakata, a young stranger, as they work together to stop a massive, supernatural worm that causes earthquakes from causing a string of tragedies around Japan by closing doors.

This is Shinkai's third collaboration with Radwimps and Tanaka, following Your Name (2016) and Weathering with You (2019). It was produced by CoMix Wave Films and features the voices of Nanoka Hara and Hokuto Matsumura. Character designs were created by Masayoshi Tanaka, while animation direction was handled by Kenichi Tsuchiya and art direction by Takumi Tanji. Radwimps and Kazuma Jinnouchi composed the musical score. Early in 2020, the movie's production was announced to have concluded by October 2022. Its topics sprang from the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011. Prior to the movie's premiere, Shinkai's novel adaptation and a manga series with illustrations by Denki Amashima both made their debuts. November 7, 2022 saw Suzume make its IMAX debut in Japan. A theatrical release .

In 2023, Suzume Iwato, a 17-year-old high school student, resides in a sleepy village in the Kyushu region of Japan with her aunt. She tells the young man about a nearby abandoned onsen (spa) resort and follows him suspiciously after she sees him looking for a door in an abandoned region on her way to school. She finds a door standing by itself on its frame there. When she opens it, she sees an interior starlit area that she is unable to enter. When she trips over a statue of a cat on the floor, it transforms into a real cat and runs away. Suzume bolts back to school, terrified. Suzume observes a massive column of smoke rising from the area of the abandoned resort during lunch, but no one is there to witness it.

When Suzume brings the man to her house, he identifies himself as Souta Munakata and tells her that he is a "Closer" who has been tasked with finding and locking particular doors in deserted locations around Japan in order to stop a strong supernatural "worm" from being released and creating earthquakes. While conversing, the resort's cat materialises and transforms Souta into the chair he was seated in. Now reduced to a tiny, three-legged chair, Souta pursues the cat aboard a ship bound for Ehime, Suzume trailing behind. Souta informs Suzume that the cat is a "keystone" and that the worm was unleashed following the keystone's removal from the area close to the door as the cat jumps onto another ship.

Suzume and Souta discover social media posts from locals in Ehime, who have taken pictures of and given names to the cat "Daijin". They find the worm once more with the assistance of Chika Amabe, a kind local girl, and shut the door leading to the former school. They spend the night at Chika's house. After saying goodbye to Chika the following day, they take a ride to Kobe thanks to Rumi Ninomiya, a generous woman who asks Suzume to watch her twins. Suzume finds Daijin in the evening, and he takes her and Souta to an abandoned theme park where the worm is attempting to reappear from a ferris wheel. When they succeed in locking the door, the worm vanishes. Souta clarifies that the gateway

They spot a young girl in the distance while they are still in the Ever-After. Suzume recognises that the little child from 12 years ago is actually her. Suzume makes the decision to give the chair that her mother gave her as a birthday present to her younger self. She tells her younger self that the chair will give her the courage to move past the tragedy and keep evolving. Reenergized, the youthful Suzume makes the decision to go back to the past and leave the Ever-After, which is how Tamaki finds her twelve years earlier. After leaving the Ever-After themselves (up until this point), Suzume and Souta travel back to Tokyo, while Suzume and Tamaki travel back to Kyushu to see the friends Suzume made along the journey. Later on, back.
