Ghulami (1985) 90s Movies Watch Online
J. P. Dutta made his directorial debut with the 1985 Indian Hindi-language action drama film Ghulami, which translates to "Slavery." Dharmendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Mazhar Khan, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Raza Murad, Reena Roy, Smita Patil, Anita Raj, Naseeruddin Shah, and Om Shivpuri are among the ensemble cast members in the movie. Gulzar wrote the lyrics, while Laxmikant–Pyarelal, who later worked with Dutta on all of his films up until Kshatriya (1993), composed the music. It was filmed in Rajasthan's Fatehpur. The movie was narrated by Amitabh Bachchan.
The film served as the feature film debut for JP Dutta, one of Bollywood's greatest directors.
It addresses the disparity in rural India's land ceilings. The main character is a small child who grows up to revolt against the ruthless landowners who have been stealing from struggling farmers. With the amazing assistance of the ensemble, Dharmendra gives his best performance to date.
Like all JP Dutta films, this one is excellent technically. The music has an eerie quality. OP Dutta's conversation is excellent. The screenplay is as comprehensive as it gets.
A film that any movie enthusiast should not miss.
In feudal Rajasthan, a bunch of peasants rise up against the exploitative landowners and the age-old system of caste-based oppression.
