Childhood buddies Karan (Tusshar Kapoor) and Natasha (Anita Hassanandani) are connected. Even though it was a secret, Natasha has always loved Karan and wished to wed him. But Tanya (Esha Deol), the new college student, wins Karan over. In the meantime, the college reinstates Professor Bakshi (Rishi Kapoor), who is suspected of killing his wife and concealing her body. Karan makes friends with Yash (Yash Tonk), a playboy, who helps him win Tanya over. In an attempt to win Tanya over, Karan makes a bold vow to steal Professor Bakshi's exam answers in order to make it easier for Tanya to pass.

When Yash is attacked once more, Karan follows what looks to be Professor Bakshi, only to discover that Bakshi is with someone else who is also being attacked. After leaving, he discovers Khush assaulted and saying "Tanya" while clutching a crimson piece of cloth.

When Tanya and Natasha's automobile approaches a cliff, Karan follows and discovers Natasha is hurt. She informs him that Tanya and she were taken here by Professor Bakshi. Given that Professor Bakshi was present, Karan knows she is lying. She also recognises that the fragment of cloth Khush was holding originated from Natasha's scarf.
