A straightforward villager named Gopi (Mithun Chakraborty) goes to Mumbai in search of employment. Several men approach him, mistaking him for Johnny (Mithun Chakraborty). In order to hide his illicit activities, Johnny, a crook, works as a stage actor during the day for the underworld don Supremo (Kamal Kapoor).
After he meets his impostor,
Johnny chooses to use him as a scapegoat in case the authorities find out who he is. Gopi has been taught to look just like Johnny in order to impersonate him convincingly and unwittingly assist Johnny in his misdeeds. Gopi is held accountable and has to convince everyone of his innocence when the police find that Johnny has taken priceless statues.
गोपी ( मिथुन चक्रवर्ती ) एक साधारण दिमाग वाला ग्रामीण है जो नौकरी की तलाश में मुंबई जाता है। कुछ लोग उससे संपर्क करते हैं जो गलती से उसे जॉनी ( मिथुन चक्रवर्ती ) समझ लेते हैं। जॉनी एक अपराधी है जो अंडरवर्ल्ड डॉन सुप्रीमो ( कमल कपूर ) के लिए काम करता है और अपनी आपराधिक गतिविधियों को छुपाने के लिए एक स्टेज परफॉर्मर भी है। जब वह अपने हमशक्ल से मिलता है, तो जॉनी उसे एक गिरे हुए आदमी के रूप में इस्तेमाल करने का फैसला करता है, अगर पुलिस को पता चल जाए कि वह कौन है। गोपी को जॉनी बनने के लिए प्रशिक्षित किया जाता है, ताकि वह अनजाने में जॉनी के अपराधों का भागीदार बन जाए। जब पुलिस को पता चलता है कि जॉनी ने बहुमूल्य मूर्तियाँ चुराई हैं,
तो गोपी को दोषी ठहराया जाता है और उसे सभी के सामने अपनी बेगुनाही साबित करनी होगी।
Aarti Gupta, Tarun Ghosh, Dinesh Thakur, Kamal Kapoor, Leela Mishra, and Bindiya Goswami all had significant roles in the 1982 Indian Hindi-language film Amne Samne, which was directed by Ashim Samanta and starred Mithun Chakraborty in a dual role.This movie and Sachaa Jhutha are somewhat similar.
