Red Chillies VFX is a visual effects studio that RCE founded in 2006[5]. Along with Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (2022) of the International League T20, the firm also owns a 55% share in the Indian Premier League cricket side Kolkata Knight Riders (2008) and the Caribbean Premier League team Trinbago Knight Riders (2015).
In addition to being the company's co-founder and joint MD, Shah Rukh Khan is also its producer. Gauri Khan is the joint MD and co-founder. The company's former CEO was Sanjiv Chawla. The CEO of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Venky Mysore, assumed new duties in February 2013 when he was named CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment.
Dreamz Unlimited (now Red Chillies Entertainment) released the 2000 Indian Hindi-language drama film Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, which translates to "Yet,
Heart is Indian."
The creators took a word or two from the song "Mera Joota Hai Japani" from Shree 420 (1955) to create the title. The movie, which was directed by Aziz Mirza, is about TV media conflicts. Ajay Bakshi and Ria Banerjee, played by Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, respectively, are two television reporters for rival news networks, KTV and Galaxy TV. They attempt to prevent a man who has been set up by politicians to be executed for the murder of his brother.
The movie was the first project that Khan, Chawla, and Mirza produced together under the banner of Dreamz Unlimited.
