⛔Kalhana

🎲 Kalhana is the most famous historian and writer who flourished in the 12th Century. He was a Kashmiri Brahmin who had immense knowledge of Sanskrit.

🎲He was born in Parihaspura (Now, Paraspore) in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir to a Kashmiri Minister, Chanpaka who served King Harsa of Lohara dynasty.

🎲He is considered as Kashmir's first historian.

🎲He was the author of Rajatarangini, an account of the history of Kashmiri rulers. 

🎲 Kalhana started to write this Kavya composition in 1148 CE and took two years to complete i.e. in 1150 CE.

🎲He presented an authentic picture of the contemporary social and political life of Kashmir.
