In March, Nothing CEO Carl Pei announced that the Nothing Phone (2) would be launched later this year. He also hinted that the upcoming smartphone will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset and focus more on software experience. Soon, the rumour mill speculated that the Nothing Phone (2) would be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
Carl Pei said that the Nothing Phone (2) is around 80 per cent faster than its predecessor when it comes to launching apps.
In a recent tweet, Carl Pei confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) will indeed be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Compared to the Nothing Phone (1) which features the Snapdragon 778G, apps on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 open almost twice as faster.
